Starting her lacrosse career in 1969 as a goalkeeper for Birmingham Ladies Lacrosse Club, Sue went on to be Vice President of the International Federation of Women’s Lacrosse Asso-ciations, who she served from 2001 to 2008, and assisted in overseeing the transition to the Federation of International Lacrosse.
In her term of Presidency, Sue has welcomed 36 new member National Federations to World Lacrosse, and has been pivotal in the modernisation of structures and development in terms of governance, ethics, diversity and opportunity.
Sue has rightly and deservedly been the recipient of many awards of the years, including FIL Lifetime Achiever Award, ELA Development Award, ELA Award for Services to International Lacrosse, FIL Development Award and many more.
