So Oxford Academy has hosted the first two sessions of this seasons Winter Leagues and have two more dates—Sunday 5th January and Finals Day Sunday 12th January, where the first game starts at 11.30 and the final game at 16.15.
After the first two rounds the Hornets and Steelheads lead the Men’s with an unbeaten record but the Knights and Capitals will be out to prove a point in round three, in spite of the fact the final is out of their reach. In the Women’s the Ravens are looking strong and determined to get their prey, but this is not assured as round three for all teams can change the balance going in to the finals day.
Following the success of the World Championships in September many players will be endeavouring to show what they learnt from that successful experience and showcase their abilities.
If you want to come along and witness this fast and furious version of lacrosse then the Finals Day is a great opportunity. It is being played at Oxford Academy, Sandy Lane, Littlemore, Oxford OX4 6JZ.
Whilst it is in a covered arena be aware it can get very chilly inside so dress appropriately.
